Here’s What You Should Know
I’m Kellie Walker, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, and I work best with people who are ready to actively participate in their healing — not just feel better temporarily, but experience transformative change.
If you’re looking for someone to just validate everything you say without challenging you, or if you expect your therapist to do most of the work and most of the talking, we might not be the best fit. But if you want real feedback, honest support, and tools you can actually use, let’s talk.
I work well with adults who:
- Are ready to do hard work, not just talk about doing it
- Want to be challenged (respectfully) and pushed toward growth
- Are willing to implement what we discuss between sessions
- Show up as active participants in their own healing
- Want honest feedback, even when it’s uncomfortable

What I Specialize In
Trauma & PTSD
Trauma isn’t always a single event. It shows up as hypervigilance, people-pleasing, emotional numbness, chronic guilt, difficulty trusting. We work through it at your pace, but we DO work through it, not around it.
Boundaries
Setting boundaries isn’t selfish. Whether it’s with family, partners, work, or yourself by learning to say no, mean it, and stop feeling guilty about it is life-changing work.
Life Transitions
Career changes, relationship shifts, identity evolution, major losses — transitions force you to reassess who you are. We’ll figure out who you want to become, not just who you used to be.
Anxiety & Depression
Anxiety and depression often have roots in unprocessed trauma, unclear boundaries, or a life that no longer fits. We explore what’s underneath and build skills that help you move forward.
Empowerment & Growth
This isn’t about toxic positivity. It’s about building actual skills, believing in your ability, and taking responsibility for your choices. We challenge limiting beliefs and build real resilience.
How I Work
My style is direct but compassionate. I’ll tell you what I see, patterns you’re repeating, and ways you might be getting in your own way — with warmth and humor when it helps. I believe in your ability to change, and part of my job is helping you believe it too.
I use CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing, but I don’t force you into a rigid method. We use what works for YOU.
Therapy with me is collaborative and solution-oriented. You’ll get validation AND reality checks. Practical tools, not just insight. Honest feedback delivered respectfully.

I’m a Black woman therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in corporate spaces long enough to understand the toll of code-switching, shrinking yourself, and carrying what feels like the weight of two worlds.
I built my practice around real connection, honest feedback, empowerment, and helping people stop living small. I keep it real, I don’t sugarcoat, and I genuinely care about your growth.
My long-term clients tend to be adults navigating major life changes, people of color who want cultural understanding without overexplaining, men who appreciate a no-BS approach, and anyone who values authenticity.
